Nightshade - Cardiff

Created under cover of darkness, buried beneath Pasture on High Street, Cardiff, is a speakeasy bursting with personality. Inspired by the location of the tucked away site, with no windows and intimately low ceilings, Nightshade (a new concept for the Pasture Group), leans into the cinematic narrative of 1920’s prohibition, whilst creating a contemporary home for expert mixologists and craft cocktails from around the world, creating  the feel of an exclusive member’s club. Tucked behind a padded door in the basement of Pasture, seductively illuminated with ambient lighting, Nightshade plays with subtle art deco nods, plush velvet moulded into snake-like banquettes which cocoon the perimeter of the space, and a tastefully mirror-clad bar counter reflecting the overall ambience, creating the perfect mood for after-dinner drinks with friends or on date night.
